The second edition of EVOLIO Expo 2026<\/strong> continues until tomorrow at the Fiera del Levante in Bari. the leading B2B trade fair dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and the olive oil supply chain, organized by Senaf<\/strong> on behalf of Nuova Fiera del Levante<\/strong>, with the patronage of MASAF<\/strong> and the support of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Economic Development of the Puglia Region, Pugliapromozione, and the National Association of Oil Cities<\/strong>. The fair will feature 150 exhibiting companies<\/strong>, 20 associations\/organizations\/institutions<\/strong>, and around 50 international buyers<\/strong> from 16 strategic countries<\/strong>, for three days of business matching and over 100<\/strong> conferences, talks, and events dedicated to innovation, sustainability, internationalization, oil tourism, health, and EVO culture.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening day yesterday, Thursday, January 29<\/strong>, marked the official start of the second edition of EVOLIO Expo with the inaugural conference and the participation of the main institutional representatives. During the morning, the strategic role of EVO oil in positioning Italian agri-food products on foreign markets was reiterated, and the prospects linked to the National Olive Growing Plan<\/strong> were also discussed. At the same time, the agenda of B2B meetings<\/strong> between companies and international operators began, offering opportunities for commercial development and networking. In the afternoon, one of the highlights was the \u201cEVOLIO & Export Forum<\/strong>,\u201d organized by IEF \u2013 Italian Export Forum<\/strong> and dedicated to the theme \u201cRegions at the Center of Foreign Trade: the new diplomacy of Italian Oil.\u201d <\/em>The meeting brought together representatives of national and regional institutions, ZES leaders, and key players in the Italian olive oil industry, with the aim of building a shared vision that integrates public policies, territorial development, infrastructure, the production chain, and strategies for penetrating foreign markets<\/strong>, reaffirming Puglia’s role as the heart of Italian olive growing and the starting point for a clear message: exporting is increasingly a territorial mission<\/strong> as well as a national one. Yesterday also saw the first of this edition’s major thematic conferences, \u201cOil is Innovation – Ideas and technologies that change tomorrow\u201d,<\/strong> organized by the National Association of Oil Cities<\/strong> and Pugliapromozione<\/strong>: a debate on research, modernization of the supply chain, and new technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, January 30: olive oil tourism, health, and opportunities for businesses<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day of EVOLIO Expo, today, focuses on high-impact content for the development of the sector, with a program that combines tourism, system communication, and wellness. The program includes the conference \u201cOil is Tourism – Oil Experience: travel, emotions, and flavors that unite Puglia\u201d,<\/strong> organized by the National Association of Oil Cities<\/strong> and Pugliapromozione<\/strong>, dedicated to itineraries, territorial storytelling, and models of offer capable of transforming EVO oil into an experience to be enjoyed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference \u201cEVO HEALTH: the true ally for our health\u201d <\/strong>offers a dynamic question time<\/strong> format that brings together producers, doctors, researchers, and consumer associations to explore the role of EVO oil in prevention<\/strong> and health protection<\/strong>. Alongside the conferences, the series of talks dedicated to the opportunities offered by the Puglia ERDF-ESF+ 2021-2027<\/strong> continues, including the meeting \u201cRoots and future: Apulian EVO oil as a driver of culture, innovation, and social inclusion.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program also includes \u201cOlio \u00e8 Esperienze \u2013 Oleoturismo in Puglia: creating experiences, strengthening communities, promoting the territory,\u201d<\/strong> an event focused on operational models and concrete projects for local development. The series of talks dedicated to the opportunities offered by the Puglia ERDF-ESF+ 2021\u20132027 Regional Program<\/strong> continues, including “Roots and future: Apulian extra virgin olive oil as a driver of culture, innovation, and social inclusion\u201d<\/strong> and \u201dCultivating skills: new training models for the use of extra virgin olive oil in the agri-food industry and catering,”<\/strong> with a focus on innovation, inclusion, training, and new professional skills to strengthen the supply chain and competitiveness of the sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day will be rounded off with oil and food workshops,<\/strong> tastings and in-depth discussions, as well as meetings in the Citt\u00e0 dell’Olio area<\/strong> dedicated to promoting the region and oil tourism itineraries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, EVOLIO Expo will also host the Single Variety Oils Exhibition<\/strong>, an in-depth exploration curated by AMAP<\/strong> dedicated to Italian olive biodiversity<\/strong> and the promotion of cultivars through discussions and tastings. After the first events of the exhibition on the opening day, the program includes further in-depth analysis of climate change and varietal resilience<\/strong>, dedicated to agronomic choices and supply chain strategies for oils that are distinctive and linked to the territory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow, January 31: scientific evidence, nutraceuticals, culture, and awards ceremony<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day offers a program of content that combines health, identity, and the culture of oil, focusing on both scientific aspects and those related to the promotion of the territory and communities. The program includes the conference \u201cOil is Health – Scientific Evidence and Future Prospects,\u201d<\/strong> followed by the events \u201cItalian Cuisine: UNESCO Heritage\u201d <\/strong>and \u201cOil is Well-being – EVO made in Puglia between spas, beauty, and success stories,\u201d <\/strong>which describe EVO oil as cultural heritage and an ingredient for well-being, capable of generating new narratives and opportunities. Talks dedicated to the opportunities offered by the Puglia ERDF-ESF+ 2021-2027 Regional Operational Program<\/strong> will also continue, with a focus on internationalization and development of the sector through the meetings \u201cApulian EVO oil: from product to international market\u201d <\/strong>and \u201cExtra virgin olive oil and its nutraceutical power.\u201d<\/strong> Among the most eagerly awaited events on the last day are the \u2018Ercole Olivario – Selezione Puglia\u2019<\/strong> award ceremony, together with show cooking and workshops, and talks by the Citt\u00e0 dell’Olio dedicated to designations, communities, and the promotion of local excellence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
