The second EVOLIO Expo is taking place in Bari. The international B2B fair for extra virgin olive oil, has been confirmed

From 29 to 31 January 2026, the Fiera del Levante in Bari will host an event celebrating the excellence of extra virgin olive oil. The new programme will focus on internationalisation, business, culture and training.

Following the success of the inaugural event, EVOLIO Expo is set to return with an even richer and more innovative programme. This international B2B fair, dedicated to extra virgin olive oil, will take place from 29 to 31 January 2026 at the Fiera del Levante pavilions in Bari. It will further consolidate its position as a pivotal platform for the olive oil industry.

This is a crucial time for the sector, with positive signs of growth in Italian exports continuing to emerge. According to Coldiretti’s analysis of Istat data, extra virgin olive oil was the driving force behind the growth of Italian agrifood exports in 2024, with a +45% increase in value.

The first edition of the event, organised by Senaf on behalf of Nuova Fiera del Levante and supported by the Department of Agriculture, Rural and Environmental Development of the Puglia Region, Pugliapromozione and the National Association of Oil Cities, saw the participation of 6,482 visitors, 161 exhibiting companies and 22 international buyers. Over 100 events were held, including conferences, talks and workshops, generating new business opportunities for Italian producers and creating valuable connections with key markets such as the USA, Germany, Australia, Tunisia and the Netherlands.

The objective for 2026 remains clear: to provide a valuable platform for companies in the sector and encourage constructive dialogue between producers, buyers, institutions, research bodies and specialist audiences. There will be ample space dedicated to showcasing PDOs and PGIs, as well as to the themes of technological innovation, environmental sustainability, oil tourism and the health benefits of EVO oil.

The programme’s core consists of the three major thematic strands that characterised EVOLIO Expo during its first edition: ‘Oil, Environment, Landscape and Identity’, ‘Oil and Health‘ and ‘Oil Tourism’. The first strand explores the cultural and landscape value of Italian olive cultivation, emphasising the importance of preserving and enhancing olive groves as a cultural heritage. The second strand explores the health-promoting properties of EVO oil, its role in the Mediterranean diet, and its nutraceutical properties. The third focuses on oil tourism as a means of developing territories, offering talks, workshops and immersive experiences designed to connect producers, tour operators and visitors while promoting experiential routes related to olive oil. Together, these three strands provide a contemporary, integrated vision of extra virgin olive oil, encompassing tradition, wellness, sustainability, and hospitality.

There will also be guided tastings, tasting courses, masterclasses led by nationally recognised panel leaders, training sessions for buyers and in-depth scientific discussions with experts from the medical and nutritional sectors.

EVOLIO Expo 2026 will also be characterised by its strong international focus. The B2B meetings programme will once again bring Italian producers into direct contact with national and international buyer delegations. This is a unique opportunity to build a network of distributors, importers and qualified customers, thereby consolidating Italy’s competitiveness on the global stage.

Thanks to the enthusiasm and participation generated by its first edition, EVOLIO Expo will return in 2026,’ declares Gaetano Frulli, President of Nuova Fiera del Levante. ‘Extra virgin olive oil is one of the finest products in Italy and a key contributor to our exports.’  It is crucial that we continue to promote it, creating opportunities for producers, buyers and institutions to connect. With EVOLIO Expo, Fiera del Levante confirms its commitment to promoting the quality and innovation of this sector and strengthening its positioning in global markets. We are ready to welcome companies, experts, and professionals to an event that celebrates tradition while looking to the future of extra virgin olive oil.

Following the success of the first edition, EVOLIO Expo is back with even greater strength and ambition. The objective is clear: to continue building an authoritative space for dialogue between all the players in the olive oil supply chain at a time when quality, identity and sustainability are the real competitive assets of ‘Made in Italy’,” declares Ivo Nardella, President of Senaf and Tecniche Nuove Group. With the second edition, we aim to reinforce the event’s international dimension, promoting a culture of extra virgin olive oil that unites well-being, territory, innovation, and economic development. EVOLIO Expo is much more than a trade fair; it is a tangible investment in the future of Italian agro-food production. It is a place where skills, relationships and perspectives converge to celebrate one of Italy’s most iconic products.”
